The Power of Sharing Your Story
7 Women 7 Stories has come about as a result of my own pain and struggles in life. It is my prayer that no matter which you choose to participate in the conference or the class, you will discover the power of sharing your story. It has been my experience that telling my story was the beginning of my path to freedom. The principle is found in James 5:16, a verse which I refer to often. You will discover three types of confession: bedside prayer, journaling, and one-to-another confession. God's ultimate goal for us as women is to recognize that he created us as emotional beings and we are to live in the freedom that he has provided. Very often we are trapped in the present because of our past. Dr. Richard Dobbins says, "It's important to make peace with our past, enjoy the present, and look forward to our future." While the conference and/or the class may only be the beginning of the journey to wholeness, following the principle of James 5:16 will help you get to a place of joy and freedom.
